Description
The NASA Apollo lunar vehicle (LRV) from the Lego-Technic series is another model from the space series. The set includes a model of the lunar rover that was carried aboard Apollo 17, as well as 3 sets of equipment to attach to the LRV. The model can be folded up like the original, this was necessary so that it could be transported. However, the equipment sets must first be dismantled. These pieces of equipment as well as the rover itself come with an information plate, as they are already known from the Super Car or Star Wars models. The vehicle has a few other functions such as steering of all 4 wheels, suspension and operable accessories. The set also includes the Traverse Gravimeter Experiment carried to the Moon by Apollo 17, as well as a tribute to Big Muley, the largest chunk of lunar rock brought to Earth as part of the Apollo program.
