Description
The McLaren P1™ from the Lego Technic series is the next licensed model from the 1:8 Super Car series and therefore number 5 in the series. The P1 from McLaren is recreated here from 3893 individual parts. To give the model uniqueness, many of the trim parts have been newly produced in the color light orange. The color itself is already used in many other models, but not to this extent. The vehicle impresses with its design and variety of details. The curves have been very well executed and implemented as well as possible with the available parts, but the front seems a little too short and not quite as well executed. As with all Super Car models, all the bricks have been printed and there are no stickers, but once again a lot of visible colored pins and axles have been used, which would not be necessary in this price range. From a functional point of view, the model is a classic car model with just these functions. Although the hinged doors appear somewhat wobbly when open, they always close perfectly. The functions are rounded off with an openable front hood, where the implied suitcase can be stowed.
All in all, the model gets 6 stars
