Description
The Control Center from the Lego Technic series is the first set with the large control unit. This unit is used to control the electric motors, and individual movements can be saved as a program, which can then be played back as often as required. The crane is from my point of view the best model of the set, so I have built it and rated accordingly. With only two motors, a lot of functions are achieved. The reason for this is that the raising and lowering of the boom and the jib has been realized by a special technique in which the motor always rotates in only one direction. In addition, a special change-over switch is installed in the rear of the crane, so that two different functions can be controlled with one motor. Ingenious and simple! All in all, there are only five stars in the overall evaluation, because from my point of view, the crane is visually not completely finished, the supports can only be operated manually, and the crane is also not driven electrically via the wheels. A third engine would be very useful. In spite of all this, a great model, which should not be missing from any collection.
